Meet the Select Soccer Ambassadors
This year Select Soccer have launched our new Ambassador Programme. This is a programme to encourage several of our Senior Academy players to try and engage more with their local communities and have a chance to give back to those who may not be in such a fortunate position, which allows them to regularly do something they love to do week in week out. By setting up this programme we hope our Ambassadors will learn to appreciate their own opportunities whilst creating new opportunities and experiences through out reach programmes/events/schemes etc for their local communities.
We have chosen 4 Ambassadors to lead the 2024 programme. These individuals were nominated by their coaches on the basis of:
someone who is dedicated to their training
dependable
a good role model for the younger players
an individual who would be proud to represent Select
So, lets meet Select Soccer's 2024 Ambassadors....
First up is Elin...
I'm Elin, and I play for the Senior Girls Academy squad. The best thing about playing football is that you have something to enjoy and keep you fit. I play for Riviera United FC Girls and Starcross Dons Girls. I'm pleased to be an Ambassador because I love helping people. I would like to get experience and awareness for charities in football out of the Ambassador Programme.
Next up is Charlie...
Hello, I'm Charlie. I play for the Senior Boys Academy squad. The best thing about playing football is to be with your mates all the time. I play for WBB blues U14s football team. I am pleased to become and Ambassador because I want to be more of the Select Team. I would also like to help people in need.
Then we have Tabi...
Hi, I'm Tabi. I play for the Senior Girls Academy squad. I also play on the left wing for Newton Fire Girls. For me, the best thing about playing football is all the friendships made from being part of a team. I am pleased to be an Ambassador as I am able to represent the Select Soccer Academy and encourage others in a sport that I love. I am looking forward to supporting the charity events and the opportunity to work together to achieve our goals.
Lastly, we have Ben...
I'm Ben, and I play in the Senior Boys Academy at Select. The best thing about playing football is having fun and learning. I play for Abbot Athletic and Newton Town Red. I am pleased to be an Ambassador because I can help others. I would like to get experience out of the Ambassador Programme and pride.
We are very proud to have these 4 young players representing Select Soccer in our local communities and are excited with some of the events they have planned for everyone to get involved with. As this will be an ongoing programme throughout the year, please keep your eyes open and ears to the ground with all the information regarding our up and coming events.
